Working to make Bridlewood a truly senior friendly community.
We all know how great Bridlewood, Emerald Meadows, and Monahan Landing neighbourhoods are to live, work, and play in. Who would not want to live here for as long as possible. This project intends to support neighbours who wish to continue to hive at home for as long as it is possible.

Kanata Seniors Centre
The Kanata Seniors Centre provides a place for a number of activities and programs provided by the City of Ottawa, the Kanata Seniors Council, the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre and other outside agencies. The Centre is located at 2500 Campeau Drive, behind the Mlacak Centre / Beaverbrook Branch Library.
Kanata Seniors Council
The Kanata Seniors Council is a non-profit organization working to look after the interests of older adult (50+) and seniors' communities in Kanata and the West end of Ottawa.
Eva James Community Centre
The Eva James Community Centre offers a wide variety of adult and seniors fitness programs, plus dance, badminton, yoga and much more. The Centre is owned and run by the City of Ottawa at 65 Stonehaven.
The Ottawa Public Library - Hazeldean and Centennial Branches
There are two branches of the Ottawa Public Library near to Bridlewood: The Hazeldean Branch is at 50 Castlefrank, and the Centennial Branch is at 3870 Old Richmond Rd (in Bells Corners). Every Friday, there is an Ottawa Public Library bookmobile service that parks at the nearby Eva James Community Centre.
Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre Seniors and Adults with a Physical Disability
The community support services are for individuals who need support to function independently at home because of a disability, illness or limitation due to aging. Also known as home and community care, these services help individuals live at home and keep connected with their community. Community support services are based on guiding beliefs that value empowerment, equity, partnership and innovation, resulting in caring and personalized service to enhance self-esteem and promote independence at home.
